The AjA Project: Photography Programs for San Diego Youth
Program & Artistic Coordinator

Diana is an interdisciplinary artist fusing theatre, spoken word, music, and film as her mediums of expression. She is a Chicana whose work explores notions of identity, migration, and representation. Her politics are ultimately rooted in decolonizing and disrupting dominant images regarding people of color in the popular imaginary. Diana’s belief in the power of art to transcend the conscious reality and present visions of change fuels her passion for creating art. Ultimately, her work strives to increase visibility and voice to communities of color with the intention of having a material effect on the manner in which they are included into the fabric of the nation.
