Growing up in upstate New York, Dave Mathisen discovered photography through the cheap plastic lenses of disposable cameras. Whether in his make-shift closet darkroom or traveling with his DLSR strapped tightly to his wrist, photography has always been an integral part of his life. Graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a BSBA in Marketing and International Business, Dave’s career has taken him through Marketing, Human Resources, Education, Photography and eventually settling in the Nonprofit Sector. Dave began his involvement with The AJA Project as a volunteer for the Journey Program in the winter of 2014 and is excited to continue working for an organization he’s so passionate about.
