PHOTO BOOTH

As an effort to engage and involve the broader student body in the critical conversations around social issues in their community, Through My Lens (TML) participants designed and delivered a photo booth at their school. Program participants posed prompts to their peers such as, “Why does skin color matter?” “What are some beauty standards set by our society?” and “Why can’t we love each other?”. The students who participated in the photo booth were photographed with their responses to the prompts by TML student photographers. The social justice focused TML photo booth experience provided a path for Serra High School youth to elevate their voices using photography.
