On August 8th, 2002 the students in our "From Image to Reality," photography program, carried out in collaberation with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), held an exhibition at their school in El Cajon. Over the course of the summer project, the students learned how to shoot and develop their own photographs. As part of their final project, the students developed photos portraying a "dream." The students used these photographs, along with writings, to create a storyboard expressing their dreams. As a conclusion to a successful summer session, the students invited their families and friends to see their hard work and celebrate with a pot luck dinner.
